The Loew’s Rochester was the largest and one of the most elegant of the movie theater palaces that once graced downtown Rochester. At the time it was built, it was the largest movie house in America between New York and Chicago. It was located where the Xerox tower is now. The building was so well constructed, it took the wrecking crew a year to completely demolish it.
