A. Friederich & Sons built the original building for the Yawman & Erbe office supply company on St. Paul Street.
The original building is located further back from the street, and is now hidden within a larger complex owned by Castle Products.
Yawman & Erbe grew considerably and eventually expanded into the vacated
Stecher Lithographic building next door,
and to an office building at 41 Chestnut Street and a plant at 1099 Jay Street, now Water Tower Park.
